HBO Max releases teaser for Irma Vep

The miniseries will be available on HBO Max on June 6.


The HBO original miniseries is created, written and directed by Olivier Assayas, based on his 1996 film and stars Oscar® winner Alicia Vikander


The HBO/A24 co-production will debut at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival as part of the Cannes Premieres Section.


Synopsis: Mira (Alicia Vikander) is an American movie star who, disillusioned by her career and a recent love breakup, arrives in France to star as "Irma Vep" in a remake of the French silent film classic, "Les Vampires." Set against the backdrop of a lurid crime thriller, Mira struggles as the distinctions between her and the character she plays begin to blur and merge. IRMA VEP reveals the uncertain terrain that lies on the border of fiction and reality, artifice and authenticity, art and life.
